Let’s Learn Windows shortcut keys the interactive way
Shortcut key’s are a set of combination keys pressed on the keyboard (Desktop or Laptop) to get the required results quicker and faster.
Shortcut | What does it do? |

Alt+Tab | Interactively change the windows, ie from Word to Excel or back, holding the Alt key keep pressing the Tab key on the keyboard to the next window! |
Ctrl+A | Selecting objects/ icons/ files/ data one at a time, use it, selects everything. |
Ctrl+S | When your app requests a timely File Save, for example in Microsoft Word/ Excel or PowerPoint, keep pressing this combination every 2-3 minutes to keep our work in place, avoid loss of data! |
Ctrl+P | This Covid-19 has pushed towards digitalization, hence chose to print wisely, let’s save paper, therefore use this, to print the data/ document, get printing done faster. |
PrntScr | One of the most ignored functions of the century, use it to snap or click image/ photograph of your computer screen the most advanced way. Hit this button and open software Paint or Word or Excel and hit Ctrl+V to paste. |
Ctrl+Z | Broke the world/ error done by mistake on the computer, like file deleted (sent to Recycle Bin) or overwritten some text or data, do not worry. This combination gets our desired corrected data back! This actually goes back to your actions in the order they are done! |
Alt+F4 | Use it to close the application present in front of you. This is as good as clicking on the cross mark on the right top corner. |
Ctrl+Alt+Del | Important combination! Pressing all three in the given order, will give troubleshooting options or to view your system performance, this is normally the first selection when a computer hangs or freezes. Hitting this twice may restart your computer, especially older computers. |
Note: The above keys are functional for Windows Operating System (OS), but are mostly useful on other OS like Ubuntu, Mac Computers by Apple, etc.
